Ποιος διοικεί τον κόσμο? (κορίτσια)
Τα Ηνωμένα Έθνη (ΗΕ) έχουν ορίσει την 24/6 ως ημέρα για τις γυναίκες στη διπλωματία. Οι γυναίκες είναι λίγο πάνω από το 50% του παγκοσμίου πληθυσμού ωστόσο η συμβολή τους στη διπλωματία – και γενικά στη διοίκηση – έχει παραγνωριστεί. Έτσι, τα ΗΕ δημιούργησαν ένα πίνακα δεδομένων για την παρουσία των γυναικών στα υψηλότερα κλιμάκια του οργανισμού. Από αυτόν παίρνουμε τα παρακάτω δεδομένα:
Βλέπουμε εδώ ότι οι γυναίκες αποτελούν πλέον το 1/3 των μόνιμων εκπροσώπων του ΟΗΕ και το 45% των αναπληρωτών.
Η χώρα μας αναγνωρίζει την αξία της παρουσίας γυναικών σε θέσεις κλειδιά. Η κυβέρνηση μόλις την προηγούμενη εβδομάδα ανακοίνωσε πρόταση ρύθμισης για ποσόστωση στα διοικητικά συμβούλια εισηγμένων εταιρειών, σε ποσοστό 33% όλων των μελών ή 40% των μη εκτελεστικών μελών και επέκτασή της στις εταιρείες του Δημοσίου και στις μεγάλες, μη εισηγμένες.
Πολύ πρόσφατα, η Ελλάδα εξελέγη μη μόνιμο μέλος του Συμβουλίου Ασφαλείας. Και επειδή επίσης πρόσφατα είχαμε και ένα ανασχηματισμό, είναι μία ευκαιρία να εξετάσουμε τι έχουμε επιτύχει σε αυτόν τον τομέα.
Κατ’ αρχήν στα ΗΕ η χώρα εκπροσωπείται από 2 άντρες. Αλλά και σε επίπεδο υπουργικού συμβουλίου, έχουμε πλέον 13 γυναίκες στα 60 μέλη, ή 22%. Επίσης έχουμε 4 γυναίκες να ηγούνται υπουργείων, σε σύνολο 21 υπουργείων ή 19%. Επίσης έχουμε 11 (από 21) υπουργεία στα οποία δεν έχουμε καθόλου γυναίκες (και 2 που δεν έχουμε καθόλου άντρες).
Επειδή η διοίκηση της χώρας δεν διαφέρει τόσο από αυτή μίας εταιρίας, θα περιμέναμε από την κυβέρνηση να ηγηθεί δια του παραδείγματος σε αυτόν τον τομέα. Αντ’ αυτού, δεν φαίνεται να έχει καν αναρωτηθεί.
